PAX I-Mat

The PAX I-Mat is a standard vacuum mattress without section or head support, characterised by a straight cut resembling an ‘I’ suitable for the immobilisation of patients in an emergency. The multi-chamber system with a 2-layer structure and EPS microspheres distributed over a large surface area allow the mattress to be effectively modelled to a wide range of patient sizes and weight classes. With 8 handles and 5 colour-coded fastening belts with yellow buckles, it is made of PAX-Flex Tec MP, a soft and comfortable material on the patient side, while the opposite side uses PAX-Tec+, which is stronger and more durable. The belt and loop loops are recessed for better cleaning. PAX I-Mat complies with EN20486, EN 1865-1 and the S3 guideline - polytrauma.

The use of PAX-Flex Tec MP material ensures that the surface of your PAX Vacuum Mattress or PAX Vacuum Splints is soft and supple. This significantly increases patient comfort.

The PAX I-Mat doesn’t use a Velcro system for belt fixation system and use the PAX Buckles instead – this is easier to clean. Especially when opening, this prevents the unintentional movement of the patient‘s extremities.
